This year, Ukraine will receive 100 generators from Japan – Sybig

Date:

On Saturday, Japan intends to deliver another batch of generators to Ukraine, the total number of which will reach 100 this year, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said.

“Today, another batch of powerful generators will be handed over. In total, this year we will receive 100 generators from Japan. This is important and timely support,” Sibiga said at a press conference with his Japanese colleague Iwai Takeshi in Kyiv on Saturday.

In general, as informed by Sibiga, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Japan has provided aid to Ukraine in the amount of more than 12 billion dollars.

He also reminded that Japan recently decided to allocate more than $3 billion at the expense of frozen Russian assets.

Separately, the Ukrainian minister emphasized the role of Japan in demining efforts in Ukraine. In particular, in the fall of 2025, the Japanese side will hold a conference on demining.
