Today, public electric transport is gradually returning to work in Kyiv, — Klitschko

Since February 16, 31 trolleybus and 13 tram routes have resumed operation in the capital.

In December of last year, due to a shortage of electricity, all ground electric transport temporarily stopped working in the city. To reduce the load on the power system, trolleybuses and trams were removed from the routes. 222 buses were released instead.

In January 2023, the city authorities worked with energy companies to gradually restore the movement of electric transport in Kyiv. Thus, two routes of the Borshchagivska line of high-speed tram No. 1 and No. 3 were operational again in the city. Later, on January 31, two more tram routes were launched in the Troyeshchyna housing estate. Trams began to transport passengers: No. 5 “Str. Serzh Lifarya — Troeshchyna-2 station”; No. 28 “Str. Myloslavska — metro station “Lisova”.

Vitaliy Klitschko spoke about the resumption of ground electric transport in the capital.

Kyiv City Mayor Vitaly Klychko On February 15, he announced in his Telegram channel: “Tomorrow, 186 trolleybuses and 157 trams will be on the line.”

Thus, according to the mayor of Kyiv, the operation of trolleybus routes is being organized:

  1. No. 5 “Str. Bilytska — st. m. “Lev Tolstoy Square” (temporarily to the Pivotroflotsky overpass);
  2. No. 5-D “Ave. Freedoms – Art. m. “Lev Tolstoy Square” (temporarily to the Pivotroflotsky overpass);
  3. No. 6 “Minsk massif (Diagnostic Center) – Maidan Nezalezhnosti”;
  4. No. 7 “Str. Chornobyl — st. m. “Lev Tolstoy Square” (temporarily to the Pivotroflotsky overpass);
  5. No. 8 “Str. Smilyanska – square Leo Tolstoy” (temporarily to the South Station);
  6. No. 9-K “Str. Cadet Grove — Sports Palace”;
  7. No. 11 “National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine – st. Marshalska”;
  8. No. 12 “Art. “Vasylkivska” city – Railway station”;
  9. No. 14 “Botanical Garden – Railway Station”;
  10. No. 17 “Sq. Cosmonauts – sq. Leo Tolstoy” (temporarily to the South Station);
  11. No. 18 “Independence Square – st. Soshenka”;
  12. No. 24 “Str. Severnaya — ave. Freedom”;
  13. No. 25 “Art. “Pochayna” city – ave. Freedom”;
  14. No. 26 “Ave. Freedoms – Art. “Nyvyk” city;
  15. No. 27 “Art. “Pochayna” city – hall. Art. “Kyiv-Volynskyi”;

Vitaliy Klitschko also reminded that the trolley bus route No. 31 “Myloslavska Street – Lukyanivska metro station” has been restored since February 13.

In addition, the operation of tram routes will be organized:

  2. No. 8-K “Art. “Poznyaki” city – str. P. Usenko”;
  3. No. 11 “Str. Yordanska — Contract Square”;
  4. No. 12 “Contract square — Pushcha-Vodytsia (14th line)”;
  5. No. 16 “Contract area – Art. “Heroiv Dnipro” city;
  6. No. 17 “Str. Yordanska — Pushcha-Vodytsia”;
  7. No. 19 “Shevchenko Square – Contract Square”;
  8. No. 22-A “Perova Boulevard – st. “Lisova” city;
  9. No. 22-K “Str. P. Usenka – ZZBK”;
  10. No. 28-D “Str. Myloslavska — st. “Poznyaki” city;
  11. No. 29-K “Art. “Boryspilska” city – str. P. Usenko”;
  12. No. 33-A “Str. Makarenko (DVRZ) — str. P. Usenko”;
  13. No. 35 “Str. Serzh Lifarya — Art. “Lisova” m.

Tram routes will continue to operate:

No. 1 “Mykhailivska Borshchahivka – st. Starovokzalna” (restored from January 13, 2023);

No. 3 “Art. Romain Rolland — Art. Starovokzalna” (restored from January 13, 2023);

No. 5 “Str. Serzh Lifarya — Art. Troeshchyna-2” (restored from January 31, 2023);

No. 28 “Str. Myloslavska — st. “Lisova” city (restored from 01.31.2023).
