Transcarpathian farmers will receive grants from the EU for the production of Hutsul bryndza, Transcarpathian honey and wine

The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with the financial support of the EU, announces the start of a grant support program for farmers in four regions.

Support consists of investment grant assistance to micro and small agricultural producers, cooperatives and associations of producers of geographical indications (GI).

You can apply for participation in the program through the State Agrarian Register.

Agricultural producers from:

Lviv region:

  • Berry farming
  • Vegetable growing
  • Aquaculture

Transcarpathian region:

  • Hutsul sheep brindza, protected designation of origin (PDO)
  • Hutsul cow brindza, protected designation of origin (PDO)
  • Transcarpathian honey, protected geographical indication (PGI)
  • Transcarpathian wine

Ivano-Frankivsk and part of Chernivtsi region:

  • Hutsul sheep brindza, protected designation of origin (PDO)
  • Hutsul cow brindza, protected designation of origin (PDO)

Based on the applications received, FAO will provide producers with investment funds in the amount of:

up to 370,000 hryvnias ($10,000) for small farms;
up to 925,000 hryvnias ($25,000) for agricultural small and medium-sized enterprises, agricultural cooperatives, and associations of food producers.
