Transcarpathians will receive more than UAH 30 million in compensation from the state for free accommodation of displaced persons

Date:

Almost 32.9 million hryvnias of compensation from the state will be received by local residents who accommodated forced migrants.

The region is a leader in the nationwide “Shelter” program, as 95% of IDPs live in the private sector.

Caring locals provided free housing for almost 30,000 people who moved from other regions of the country due to the war. During March-December last year, Transcarpathians submitted 19,553 applications for funds for the temporary accommodation of forced migrants.

In order to receive compensation for January 2023, household owners must submit appropriate applications by February 5.
