Ukraine rose to 7th place in the medal standings, having won 10 medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in a day

On the sixth competitive day of the Games, Ukrainian Paralympians won four gold, three silver and three bronze medals, for all days of the competition, our athletes won 45 awards: nine gold, 15 silver and 21 bronze awards, and took 7th place in the medal tally. informs Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine on Tuesday.

On Monday, the following “gold” won: Yuriy Shengur (swimming, 100 m, backstroke, class S7), Yulia Shulyar (athletics, 400 m run, class T20), Oleksandr Yarovy (athletics, shot put, class F20), Natalia Kobzar (athletics, 400 m run, class T37).

Silver awards were won by: Andrii Trusov (swimming, 100 m, backstroke, class S7), Danylo Chufarov (swimming, 200 m, combined swimming, class SM11); Ihor Nimchenko (swimming, 100 m, butterfly, class S10).

Bronze awards were given to: Oksana Boturchuk (athletics, 400 m run, class T12), Maksym Koval (athletics, shot put, class F20), Olena Fedota-Isaeva (fencing, saber, category B).

Ukraine ranks 7th in the “medal” tally of the Games, second only to China, Great Britain, the USA and Brazil in terms of the total number of medals, but inferior to other countries in terms of the number of gold awards.
