Ukraine will join NATO without the MAP, the allies have reached an agreement – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

Date:

NATO Allies have reached a consensus on the exclusion of the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) from the program of Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance. This was announced on July 10 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on Twitter.
“After intensive negotiations, the NATO allies reached a consensus on the exclusion of MAP from the program of Ukraine’s accession to NATO. I welcome this long-awaited decision, which shortens our path to NATO,” he wrote.

Kuleba also added that “this is the best moment to clarify the invitation to Ukraine to become a member of the Alliance.”
