The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will focus on concluding long-term agreements with foreign defense companies, the head of the department, Rustem Umyerov, said.
“And we, as the Ministry of Defense, will focus on concluding long-term agreements. We have already reached two, three, four, five years. We want to enable 10-year contracts and simplify the system. Simplicity does not mean lightness,” said Umyerov at the second International Forum of Defense Industries (DFNC2).
According to him, the Ministry of Defense is trying to simplify procedures. Also, the minister emphasized again that Ukraine is ready to create joint ventures with partners, to participate in investments.
“If you are interested in long-term agreements, in joint ventures, in joint investments with us, we are ready to co-invest, guarantee you long-term agreements and support your aspirations. Because we will need it not only now, but we are focusing on the fact that after the war it will be an export, and you will export it to your countries,” said Umyerov, addressing foreign partners.
