Yaroslava Maguchih won the first stage of the Diamond League-2024 in high jump in Lausanne, informs Public. Sports on Thursday.
In Lausanne, Maguchih fought for the podium together with Australians Nicola Olislagers and Eleanor Patterson, who won the “silver” and “bronze” of the Games in Paris. The bronze medalist of the 2024 Olympics, Ukrainian Iryna Gerashchenko, also took part in the competition.
It is noted that the mark of 1 m 92 cm was overcome by four athletes, Iryna Gerashchenko could not use a single attempt. Maguchih overcame a height of 1 m 96 cm together with Patterson, and became the winner of the stage, the only one taking a height of 1 m 99 cm.
