Yermak shared operational data with Sullivan regarding the defense of Bakhmut

The head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, once again spoke by phone with the US President’s National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan. The parties discussed a number of topics, including the defense of Bakhmut and the Ukrainian “peace formula”.

As noted, the list of discussed topics included the following:

  • the arrival of American leader Joe Biden in Kyiv and the results of his meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi,
  • relevant situation on the battlefield,
  • Russian kamikaze drone attacks on the territory of peaceful Ukrainian cities and villages,
  • formula of peace“.

Separately, Yermak expressed his gratitude to the United States for its support at the General Assembly of the United Nations for the resolution “Principles of the UN Charter underlying a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Ukraine.”

We will remind you that on February 23, the UN General Assembly adopted the decision by an overwhelming majority of votes resolution on the need to achieve a just peace in Ukraine. The document contains a list of provisions from the “peace formula” of the Ukrainian side, which was presented in the fall of 2022, and contains a number of decisions that are necessary to end the war.

141 UN member states voted for the resolution. 32 countries abstained from voting, including Iran, Kazakhstan and China. Russia opposed the resolution, along with Belarus, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea, Mali, and Nicaragua.
