Julia Tkach, a pupil of the municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Professional College of Sports”, won the World Ranking Tournament “Ibrahim Mustafa” in sports wrestling. The competition took place on February 23-26 in Alexandria, Egypt.
Yuliya Tkach became the winner among women in the weight category up to 59 kg. In the final, the Lviv wrestler defeated the reigning world champion Anastasia Nikita from Moldova with a score of 3:2. Before that, the Ukrainian beat Diana Kayumova from Kazakhstan and Zhuomalaga from China 4:0. For reference: Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Yuliya Tkach returned to the wrestling mat after a long break due to the birth of her second son, and this is already the second brilliant performance of the athlete.
In December, Yulia won all her matches at the Team World Cup. Another student of the Lviv College of Sports, Oksana Livach, won 5th place in the Ibrahim Mustafa world ranking tournament. In total, Ukrainian women won 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze awards in Oleksandria. In the overall team standings, they took 1st place, ahead of the teams of China and the USA.
