Zelensky – to the soldiers: You preserved and preserve our independence

Date:

Our people symbolize will and struggle, and Ukraine rests on the shoulders of Ukrainian defenders, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.

“That’s how our soldiers do it. In all directions of the front and the state border, which is represented by border posts. And our will and struggle are symbolized by our people – our defenders, our supports. Those on whose shoulders Ukraine rests. Held in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson Region. In Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasovoy Yar. In the Lyman, Seversky, Kramatorsk, Kurakhiv, Vremiv, Gulyaipil and Orihiv directions,” the president said in his video address on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

The President also thanked everyone who helps the soldiers and the Ukrainian state, everyone who lives and works so that independence works and lives.

“Our doctors, our rescuers, firefighters, energy workers, volunteers and entrepreneurs, policemen, farmers and railway workers, teachers and students. All of them. Ukrainian men and women here, Ukrainian men and women abroad who help, find, send the necessary, tell the world about Ukraine. And everyone who is with Ukraine in our temporarily occupied territories,” Zelenskyi said.

He emphasized that each of the 913 days of the war is grateful to Ukrainian men and women “for what you prove: Independence is everyone’s business. And it has many dimensions.”
