Air force anti-aircraft fighters shot down a Russian Su-24M plane near Bakhmut

Date:

The occupiers’ aircraft failed to complete the mission and bomb the positions of the Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Today, March 29, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces gave official confirmation that on March 28, 2023, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. in the direction of Bakhmut.

It is known that the Russian command very rarely sends planes into the Ukrainian sky precisely because of the high efficiency of the Air Force and the large number of downed Su, as well as helicopters of various modifications.

At the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain quoted the words of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhnyi, that during the 10-year war in Afghanistan, the USSR army lost 119 aircraft, while the Russian Federation lost 306 aircraft in 10 months in Ukraine, more than double.

Russia’s aircraft losses, most likely, far exceed their capacity to produce new airframes. The time required to train competent pilots reduces Russia’s ability to restore the combat potential of aviation.

Who commands the defense of the fortress city of Bakhmut: the Ministry of Defense announced the names of the soldiers. All the names of the military, who currently manage the defense of Bakhmut, are known thanks to the unique military operations in the south of Ukraine and the Kharkiv region.
