“Gift a book” campaign will be held in Odesa

On February 14, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Children’s Library No. 9 (French Boulevard, 11-А) will host the “Gift a Book” campaign. The event is dedicated to the International Book Giving Day and Valentine’s Day.

Participants of the campaign are offered to donate books to the library, which will become favorites of hundreds of young and young readers. Everyone who donates a book to the library will receive a cartoon portrait of them by Odesa artist Oleksandra Dmukha.

Also in the program of the event:
14:30-15:30 — a master class on making a “Cup” bookmark for students of grades 1-4 (registration is required on the website of the Centralized City Library System for children, participation is free);
15:35-16:00 — introduction to the exhibits of the Book Museum No. 13 for children and adults (the best Ukrainian publications, a collection of foreign “koloboks”, a graphic book, books in Braille, the Italian quarter, etc.);
16:30-17:00 tour of the library (acquaintance with the history of the building, secrets and legends).

In addition, on February 13, 14, and 15, children’s library No. 40 (Dobrovolskogo, 148a) is holding a flash mob for young readers and parents for the Book Donation Day.

Events will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

All book donors will be able to take a memorable photo with the donated book.
