Lawyer Ihor Golovan, who represents the interests of the fifth President of Ukraine and People’s Deputy Petro Poroshenko, announced an attempt to grossly violate the law by the Pechersk Court of Kyiv, allegedly committed at the behest of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“According to the instructions of President Zelensky, in gross violation of the law, the Pechersk Court plans to consider a petition to seize the property of the fifth president, the leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko,” the lawyer said. press service of the police force.
He emphasized that the fifth president’s lawyers learned about the court session from a text message received the day before on the phone of one of the lawyers.
“Yesterday after 4:00 p.m., one of the lawyers of our association, Ivan Chornyi, received a text message that today at 9:30 a.m. the petition of the prosecutor named Belkin regarding, as it says, the seizure of Petro Poroshenko’s property, will be considered here,” Golovan said.
The lawyer specified that the State Bureau of Investigation has no right to petition the Pechersk Court, as it is located in the Shevchenkiv district of the capital.
“It is common knowledge that Petro Poroshenko is currently abroad. Just a few minutes ago, he published a post on Facebook, where he named the date of his return as January 17 of this year. It is certain that they are in a hurry, they want to hide something illegal by this time,” Golovan emphasized.
The lawyer added that now Poroshenko’s lawyers are checking the information about whether the petitions for seizure of Poroshenko’s property have really been submitted to the court and whether they will really be considered in court.
“We know that this is the President’s Office and that President Zelenskyi is personally persecuting Poroshenko, and the SBI, the Prosecutor General’s Office is just a tool. And for some reason they go to the Pechersk court again. We have now brought here documents signed by the same prosecutor of the department with the same surname Belkin, where he writes in black and white that the Main Investigative Department of the SBI is located at 15 Petlyura Street in the Shevchenkivsky district, they all work in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Why are they turning to the Pechersk Court, which is absolutely illegal and illegal, now we will try to ask these questions,” Golovan emphasized.
He added that according to the current legislation, such petitions can only be considered in the presence of Poroshenko himself.
“In addition, we will ask questions in general, why the Prosecutor General’s Office is hiding all the time, why they have not openly announced their position until now, why we know about Poroshenko’s so-called suspicions only from the media. So far, neither he nor his lawyers have been informed. And most importantly, in accordance with the law of Ukraine, similar petitions to the CPC, which for example concern the seizure of property, are considered with the mandatory participation of a people’s deputy, provided that he is notified in advance… No one reported, only the lawyer received an SMS from an unknown source. Therefore, we see a gross violation of the law,” the lawyer concluded.
