However, GNT Group is ready to fulfill its obligations to creditors “in any civilized way.”
What happened. GNT Group, which owns a grain terminal in Odesa, sees signs of an unscrupulous takeover of its stevedore business by American investment companies Innovatus Capital Partners (Innovatus) and Argentem Creek Partners (ACP).
On the eve of these companies initiated an investigationwhich proved that GNT Group liquidated all grain pledged to Innovatus without the consent of creditors.
Source. About this it is said in the GNT Group press release.
Details. It is noted that GNT Group denies all accusations from ACP and Innovatus against it and is ready to fulfill its obligations to creditors “in any civilized way.”
“The operational activity of the terminals is carried out in Odesa, but the representatives of the creditor (the company Madison Pacific Trust Limited) changed the legal addresses of the indicated companies from Odesa to Lviv. The directors of these companies are appointed by people without experience in the logistics services market – they are lawyers from the Hillmont Partners law firm. They were appointed as Directors, which contradicts the terms of the corporate agreement, according to which the creditor’s representative could appoint only Commercial Directors with the right to sign without changing the Directors of the companies,” the statement states.
The group notes that over 25 years of activity it has “always flawlessly fulfilled its debt obligations.”
Background. We will remind: the High Court of England issued an asset seizure order for $118 million from the owners of the GNT Group and Olimpex Coupe International companies, which own the grain terminal in Odesa, Serhiy Groza and Volodymyr Naumenko, due to a lawsuit by Innovatus and ACP.
