Ukraine returned Mariupol defenders, Kherson partisans, snipers from the Bakhmut direction, and Heroes from the National Guard and border guards.
He reported on the large exchange of prisoners in the Telegram channel Head of OP Andriy Yermak.
“Finally at home! On February 4, another large exchange of prisoners took place, 116 people were returned. 87 soldiers of the Armed Forces, two of whom are from the SSO. “Eight soldiers of the Military Intelligence Service, seven from the National Guard, six from the National Police, five from the State Security Service, two from the Navy and one representative of the State Emergency Service,” the official wrote.
Two officers and 114 privates and sergeants were dismissed.

“In addition, we managed to return the bodies of dead foreign volunteers – Christopher Matthew Perry and Andrew Tobias Matthew, as well as the body of a dead volunteer soldier – a Ukrainian who served in the French Foreign Legion and returned to defend Ukraine after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion – Yevheniya Kulyk Olegovich,” Andriy Yermak added
He assured that work is currently underway to return all those held hostage by the aggressor state.
The exchange of prisoners in 2023 also took place on January 8. Then returned 50 soldiers: 33 officers and 17 privates and sergeants.
