Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen arrived in Ukraine

Date:

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen arrived in Kyiv on February 16. This is the first visit of an Israeli high-ranking official to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.

It is reported RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Jerusalem Post.

As part of his first visit since the start of the war, Cohen intends to visit Bucha, Babin Yar and reopen the Israeli embassy in Kyiv, which was closed due to the invasion of the Russian Federation.

In addition, the minister will hold a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and members of the Jewish community.

“I arrived today with the first visit of an Israeli minister to Kyiv since the beginning of hostilities. During the past year, Israel stood by the Ukrainian people and by Ukraine. Today we will raise the Israeli flag near the Israeli embassy in Kyiv, which will return to regular activities with the aim of strengthening relations between the countries,” the minister said.

It will be recalled that earlier Cohen said that Israel will expand humanitarian aid to Ukraine and will continue to support Jews in our country.
