Loud explosions in Kyiv: the mayor reports that a rocket was shot down. UPDATED

A series of explosions in the capital, the mayor informs about the situation.

KMDA warned about the danger with an “air alarm” signal at 03:02.

Later, explosions of various volumes were heard.

Vitaliy Klitschko wrote in the Telegram channel:

“Explosion in the Holosiiv district of the capital. All services go to the place. Details later. Stay in shelters! Missile shot down near Kyiv. Air defense works! We observe safety, we are in shelters!”.

The military appealed to the townspeople with a reminder about the ban on filming the work of air defense.

“Explosion in Podilsk district of the capital. Emergency services went to the place. According to preliminary information, as a result of falling debris, a private house caught fire.” — informs Mayor of Kyiv.

Later, he adds about the explosions in Sviatoshyn district.

We are monitoring the situation, waiting for detailed official information.

The military was informed about the casualties in the Holosiivskyi district due to the fall of fragments of a downed rocket in one of the yards.

Subsequently, KMVA provided clarification:

“Podilskyi district. As a result of falling debris, a fire broke out in a private house. Emergency services are on site. Information about the victims is being clarified.”

After checking, the information regarding the fall of debris in one of the yards of the Holosiiv district with the victims was not confirmed.

“At all places of calls, where the capital’s medics went, no victims were previously found,” Vitaliy Klitschko said.

We will remind that yesterday Kyiv was attacked by drones, there was a record number of launched “shaheeds” – 54, of which air defenses shot down 52.
