The President of Romania condemned the attacks of the Russian Federation on the Ukrainian infrastructure on the Danube

Russian shelling of Ukrainian infrastructure on the Danube creates serious risks for security in the Black Sea and affects global food security, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis emphasized.

“I strongly condemn Russia’s recent attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure on the Danube, very close to Romania. This recent escalation poses serious security risks in the Black Sea. This also affects the further transit of grain from Ukraine and, therefore, global food security,” – written by Johannis tweeted on Monday.

As reported, on the night of Monday, the Russian occupiers attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa region with Iranian attack unmanned aerial vehicles of the “Shahed” type. As a result of the hits, the destruction of grain hangars and tanks for other cargoes was recorded, and a fire broke out in one of the production premises. Seven civilians were injured.

About 15 strikes, in particular, were inflicted on the city of Reni in the Odesa region, which is located on the banks of the Danube, which runs along the state border with Romania. According to mass media, three warehouses with grain were destroyed by the strikes. Windows of buildings and structures in the Reni port were damaged, there were local fires.
