On the website of the Verkhovna Rada, draft resolutions on the resignation of Oleksiy Reznikov from the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine (No. 9679) and on the dismissal of Rustem Umyerov from the position of the head of the State Property Fund (No. 9678) have been published.
Both documents were registered on the website of the Parliament on September 4.
According to draft resolution No. 9679, the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence recommends the Verkhovna Rada to accept Reznikov’s resignation.
At the same time, the Committee on Economic Development in its decision recommends to the Council to dismiss Umyerov from the position of head of the FDM.
As reported, on September 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he would submit to the parliament the candidacy of Rustem Umerov for the position of Minister of Defense. On the morning of September 4, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov submitted to the parliament a statement of resignation from the position he held, and Umerov, for his part, submitted a statement of resignation from the position of head of the FDM.
