In Odesa, an agent group of the FSB was neutralized, which included three residents of the city aged 19 to 23, reported Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
“On the instructions of the Russian special service, they were preparing a massive missile-drone attack on the military infrastructure of the regional center. In order to establish the coordinates of potential targets, the figures went around the city under the guise of friendly walks. In case of detection of a “necessary” object, the female agents took pictures against its background, in particular, took a selfie with reference to the area,” the SBU Telegram channel reported on Friday.
It is noted that the enemy was most interested in the locations of military headquarters and medical facilities where Ukrainian defenders are being treated.
The perpetrators also tried to identify the combat positions of air defense and coast guard units, and then sent the received information via messenger to their supervisor from the FSB, for which they received a monetary reward.
For the conspiracy during correspondence, they hid behind fictitious nicknames, and also used anonymous chat.
As noted, the agents asked the occupiers for “timely evacuation” and employment in one of the Russian special services.
It is reported that the SBU detained all three suspects while they were preparing a report for the FSB.
On the basis of the received evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the detainees about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed by a group of persons under martial law).
The perpetrators are in custody, they face life imprisonment.
The special operation was carried out by SBU employees in the Odesa region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
