At the 2024 Paralympic Games, the fourth day of competition ended, on which Ukraine rose to 11th place, informs official website of the International Paralympic Committee.
After the competitive day, the Ukrainian national team improved its position in the overall medal standings, rising from the 20th to the 11th place. Ukrainian Paralympians have three gold, 10 silver and 14 bronze medals. According to the number of medals, Ukraine shares 4th place with the USA and Brazil.
At the same time, the leadership is maintained by China, which has 71 medals, of which 33 are gold.
Great Britain occupies the second place (43 awards, of which 23 are “gold”).
The top three with 8 gold awards are closed by the USA, ahead of Brazil only by the indicator of a greater number of “silver”.
Mykhailo Serbin with a world record (finished in 1:05.84 minutes) won gold in the 100-meter backstroke in class S11.
By the way, Ukraine had a double podium in this swim, because Danylo Chufarov won the bronze award.
Also, on September 1, track and field athlete Oksana Zubkovska, who won the long jump in the T12 class, won gold.
