Ukraine moved to 8th place in the medal standings, winning 6 medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in one day

On the ninth competitive day of the Games, Ukrainian Paralympians won one gold, three silver and two bronze medals, for all the days of the competition, our athletes won 67 awards: 16 gold, 23 silver and 28 bronze awards, and took 8th place in the medal count. informs The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine on Friday on its Facebook page.

Yehor Dementiev won the “gold” in cycling (highway, 99.4 km, class C4-5).

Silver awards were won by: Denis Ostapchenko in swimming (50 m, freestyle, class S3), Danylo Chufarov (100 m, butterfly, class S11), in athletics Lyudmila Danilina (running, 1500 m, class T20).

Bronze awards were received: in fencing, Olena Fedota-Isaeva (epee, category B) and in table tennis, Maksym Nikolenko (individual division, class MS8).

Ukraine once again ranks 8th in the “medal” tally of the Games, behind China, Great Britain, the USA, the Netherlands, Italy, France and Brazil.
