Klitschko and the mayor of Berlin discussed assistance to Kyiv’s critical infrastructure

Date:

Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko met with Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner and Speaker of the Berlin Parliament Cornelia Seibelt, discussed with them issues of cooperation and further assistance to Kyiv.

“We discussed the help that Kyiv needs for the functioning of critical infrastructure next winter, which will be difficult. Because Russia is trying to destroy and is constantly shelling infrastructure facilities. Kai Wegner promised that Berlin will consider all possibilities to hand over a batch of electricity generators to Kyiv,” – reported Klitschko in Telegram.

The issue of equipping the Center for Prosthetics, which is being built in Kyiv, was also discussed at the meeting.

“In particular, further steps regarding the equipment and future work of the “Berlin-Kyiv Center for Prosthetics”, which we will open in Kyiv this fall, were detailed with Mayor Wegner. This is an important project that we are implementing on the basis of one of Kyiv’s communal hospitals with the help of the Berlin City Hall and the non-governmental organization “Life Bridge Ukraine”, Klitschko noted.

Earlier, Klitschko agreed with Wegner on the construction of an innovative “Berlin-Kyiv Center for Prosthetics” in the Ukrainian capital, as well as on prosthetics in Berlin for Ukrainian wounded.
