Stoltenberg on long-range strikes against the Russian Federation: Russia’s victory will be the biggest risk for Europe

Date:

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the decision on whether to allow Ukraine to use long-range missiles supplied by the West on the territory of Russia will depend on individual allies.

“These decisions should be made by individual allies, but it is important that we closely consult on these issues,” the Secretary General said in interview British radio station LBC.

Stoltenberg welcomed the public discussions of recent days regarding the possible authorization of Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range weapons.

Regarding the concern of some allies about the risk of escalation of the war in Ukraine, he emphasized that it is a “full-scale war in Europe started by Moscow”.

“There are no risk-free options in war. But I continue to believe that the biggest risk for us will be the victory of President Putin in Ukraine,” the head of NATO emphasized.
