It is necessary to prove Kellog that elections are not a primary question – People’s Deputy Nalyvaichenko

Date:

It is necessary to prove the Special Representative of the US President for Ukraine and Russia Kit Kellog that elections are not a priority issue, according to the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Integration of Ukraine into the European Union Valentin Nalyvaichenko (Batkivshchyna faction).

“I think Mr. Kellogo should be in Kiev in a week. And in Kiev, we will do everything to give it a evidence base and convincingly prove that the stop of Russian aggression, the withdrawal of Russian troops from all temporarily occupied territories is the number one issue. Election issues and other issues are second. There is no doubt here, ”Nalyvaychenko said Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

He stressed that an important argument for the conviction of partners is that people who protect the country have the right to participate in elections and vote.

“Therefore, it is impossible to create such a situation and there will be no such situation that we will deprive our defenders of the right to participate in the electoral process. And this argument, I think, is a consolidating one, including in the Verkhovna Rada itself, ”Nalyvaychenko noted.

The People’s Deputy emphasized that this position is shared not only by members of the Batkivshchyna faction, but also by colleagues from other factions.

“We clearly and honestly take this position. Moreover, by American partners, Mr. Kellog, I will repeat, we will definitely prove these arguments, ”the People’s Deputy said.

According to Nalyvaichenko, after a visit to Kiev, Kelloggus plans to participate in the Munich Security Conference, which will take place on February 14-16.

“The US Vice President Jay Di Vance arrives there. That is, this year in Munich will be the people we will work with to stop Russian aggression … I predict that the February will be a month of preparation for important decisions. And the first decisions will be agreed at the Munich Conference …
