The Chairman of the European Commission Ursula von Der Lyen made a statement about the need to increase Europe’s defense capability following the summit organized by the UK Prime Minister Kiir Startner in London, London, reports Skynews.
“We have just heard a brief statement by the President of the European Commission Ursula von Der Lyen, who participated in the negotiations of Sir Keyr Starmer on the war in Ukraine in London. She insisted that we urgently “need to re -arry Europe”, adding that the continent needs “massive strengthening” and “a sharp increase in defense”, – said in Skynews.
Speaking to journalists in Lancaster Housi, von der Liaien said: “Member States need more fiscal space to increase defense costs … We want the United States to know that we are ready to protect democracy.”
