US President Donald Trump said Vladimir Putin “raised him” in the issue of war in Ukraine, added that at some point the situation was moving before the Third World War, but now it is not.
He said this on Thursday in London on the Great Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Start press conference.
When asked by a journalist, whether negotiations with Russia, and what his next steps, Trump replied: “This is the war that I considered the simplest, because of my relationship with President Putin. But he looked at me. Let’s see how everything will work.”
“Russian soldiers die faster than Ukrainians,” the US President added.
He once again stated that there would be no wars with Ukraine if he was president and repeated the claim that he stopped 7 wars.
Returning to the topic of Ukraine, Trump said, “I hope that we will have good news for you soon.”
In turn, the older stated the need to put pressure on Putin.
“Putin is either arrogant or reckless … Allies have to exacerbate his actions against him,” he said.
“The actions of Europe, supported by US guarantees, are an example of how Europe takes responsibility,” the Prime Minister added.
When asked by a journalist, whether it was a mistake to invite Putin to Alaska, and what measures would be taken against him now, Trump briefly replied: “No.”
In his turn, the older noted that “one or two European countries are too dependent on energy from Russia,” and added that it is now important to “put Ukraine in a stronger position.”
Trump stated that if the price of oil falls, Putin “would not have the choice, he will come out of this war.”
“I am ready to do other things, but not when the people I fight, buy oil in Russia. If the price of oil falls, it is very simple – Russia will agree to the agreement,” the US President said.
