IN Germany a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl, Valeria, who went missing on June 3, was found dead. Police have confirmed that the body found in a forest near Debeln, Saxony, on Tuesday is that of a girl.

The publication writes about it Bild on Wednesday, June 12.

The girl became a victim of a crime

“This is a sad certainty. Nine-year-old Valeria was killed and disappeared. Our deepest condolences to her family.”Police Commissioner Carsten Kaempf said.

According to the police, the child’s body was discovered on Tuesday far from the forest paths, in the undergrowth in an impassable area, about 2.5 kilometers from her parents’ house.

The police noted that Valeriya was the victim of a crime, and the murder investigation is ongoing.

“Currently, our investigation is focused on the family’s communication circle”— said the representative of the prosecutor’s office, Ingrid Burghart.

At the same time, she added that there are no suspects, no arrests have been made yet. It is known that after the investigation and autopsy there are no signs that the girl was the victim of a sexual crime.

What is known about Valeria’s disappearance

Valeriya lived in Germany with her mother since 2022.

The nine-year-old girl was last seen on Monday last week, when she was on her way to school. However, she never came there. Valeriya’s classmate claims that he saw the girl in front of the school on the day of her disappearance around 9:20, she was waiting for someone.

At the same time, the school did not inform her mother about her absence, so her disappearance was noticed only in the afternoon, when she did not come home.

For nine days, hundreds of police officers and dozens of volunteers searched for the girl.
