A diplomat without specialized education: the odious Serhii Gaidai denies Kazakhstan’s refusal to approve his candidacy as Ambassador

Date:

The former head of the Luhansk OVA, Serhii Gaidai, denied the information that Kazakhstan did not agree to his appointment as ambassador to the country due to his unprofessionalism in diplomacy.

He told about this in a comment To the public.

“This is complete delusion. The thing is that there is no official refusal. It’s just either “Mirror of the Week” fabrications, which I have doubts about, because why do they need it, or it’s just a commissioned article, that’s all. My documents remain there. If the agreement comes, then it is approval, if it does not come, then it is a topic for discussion, or for replacing the candidate. But so far, no one is planning to replace the candidate and there is no refusal,” emphasized Serhiy Gaidai.

Regarding the terms of obtaining the agreement, Gaidai said that he did not have an understanding on this matter.

“No, it is never understood in any country. It can be very fast, it can be difficult,” noted Serhiy Gaidai.

At the same time, he insists that there is a certain Russian influence in Kazakhstan, and it was the representatives of the Russian Federation who objected to his candidacy.

“The Russians are using very powerful administrative levers there in order to put pressure on the Kazakhs and prevent them from accepting me as an ambassador, because I was the head of the regional administration in Luhansk, I worked in Transcarpathia, I lived in Lviv, I lived in Kyiv, that is I am a person who knows factual information, and it will be difficult for the Russians to argue with me on the spot and introduce their narratives,” stated Serhiy Gaidai.

On May 22, the “Mirror of the Week” publication cited its own sources reportedthat Kazakhstan did not agree to the appointment of the former head of the Luhansk OVA Serhii Gaidai as ambassador to the country because the country’s authorities want to see a professional diplomat in his place.

In March, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the dismissal decree from the post of Luhansk Regional Administration Serhiy Gaidai.
