In Italy, the Trieste International Film Festival is coming to an end. Within its limits, one of the Ukrainian films presented in the program and a Ukrainian producer have already received the award.

The film “Behind the scenes” directed by Maryna Stepanska, as a result of the presentation of projects at the development stage, received the CICLIC WEMW award from the French Ciclic Center-Val de Loire foundation. The Ukrainians also presented a monetary award — five thousand euros.
And the producer of the film and the Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Institute Yuliya Sinkevich (previously the general producer of the Odesa International Film Festival) received the EAVE Producers Workshop scholarship.
Ukrainian films are presented in several programs: in the main section, seven feature films and three short films. Among them, in particular, “Klondike” directed by Maryna Er Horbach, “This rain will never end” directed by Alina Horlova and “Stop Earth” directed by Kateryna Gornostay.
Within the framework of the co-production forum When East Meets West, two films were presented – “Honeymoon” by Zhanna Ozirnaya and “Behind the scenes” by Maryna Stepanska. Maksym Nakonechny’s film “Vision of a Butterfly” was entered in the feature film competition.
In the documentary film competition: “A Fragile Memory” by Igor Ivanko and “Hamlet Syndrome” by Elvira Nevyera and Piotr Rosolovsky. Outside the competition, the festival showed “Mariupolis 2” by Mantas Kvedaravicius and “Liturgy of anti-tank obstacles” by Dmytro Suholytky-Sobchuk.
The Trieste International Film Festival takes place from January 21 to 28.
