A UNIQUE DAGGER OVER 3 THOUSAND YEARS OLD WAS FOUND IN SLOVAKIA

Date:

Pwhile vacationing on the banks of the Vag River, on the outskirts of the city of Glogovec in Slovakia, local residents discovered an interesting object. It turned out to be a large bronze dagger 26 centimeters long and weighing 150 grams. It is noted that similar objects belong to the time of barrow burials – and this is the 16th century BC.

The lucky ones did not keep the unique artifact for themselves, but took it to the nearest museum, where they found out its origin.

Archaeologists note that the handle of the sword could not be preserved because it was made of organic material. The object could be thrown into the river as part of an ancient ritual or lost when wading across it.

Similar findings are quite common in Central Europe on the territory of the Danube.
