The main musical events of the collective will traditionally take place in the “Bread” of the National Reserve “Sofia of Kyiv”, the House of Scientists, the National Philharmonic and St. Andrew’s Church.
In the first month of spring, musicians and leading creative teams of the National House of Music prepared a series of concerts with works by composers of different eras for fans of classical music.

Solomiya Krushelnytska was an outstanding Ukrainian opera singer who performed on the world’s most prestigious stages in 30 countries on 4 continents and received recognition from the world community.
Such celebrities as Enrico Caruso and Titta Ruffo considered it an honor to be on the same stage with Krushelnytska. The Italian composer Giacomo Puccini paid tribute to the singer and presented her with his portrait with the inscription “The most beautiful and charming Butterfly”. Today, Ukrainians honor Krushelnytska as one of the most famous women in the history of Ukraine, who glorified the country with her art.

NotaBene Chamber Group. Claude Debussy
Claude Debussy is usually depicted as a carefree hedonist and a daring innovator of the 20th century, an impressionist in music, a master of new, hitherto unknown sound elements.
The program of the chamber group NotaBene reveals to us a completely different image of the French composer, who is marked by courage in the face of personal and national tragedy.
Claude Debussy died 105 years ago, on March 25, 1918, the day German troops bombarded Paris. The composer experienced the events of the First World War very acutely: “My age and physical fitness allow me to guard the fence as much as possible… but if an even greater number of people are needed for victory, I will offer myself without reservation.”
At that time, Debussy had already been fighting a personal war against cancer for more than 10 years, but in the works (Etude, Rhapsody, Sonata) written during this period, we will not hear the depressed state and deep depression of the composer. This music radiates a surprising amount of inner light, and more joy than despair.
March 17, “Bread”, 18:00
Beethoven and Brahms. Rhetoric of styles
A dialogue between two composers throughout the 19th century who never met in person but had a closer relationship than one might expect.
One of the composers was the first to depart from the classical canons of his era and became almost the first representative of romanticism.
Another composer remained faithful to the classical tradition until the end of his life and became one of the symbols of late romanticism in music.
Performers: Mykhailo Bilich /violin/, Andriy Vasin /piano.
