Canadian Prime Minister named new Trump duties “direct attack” on Canada

Date:

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney called the introduction of US President Donald Trump by 25% of all cars made abroad, a “direct attack” on his country and intends to study the answer options.

“We will protect our workers. We will protect our companies, protect our country,” CNN CNN states at the Ontario press conference.

According to Karney, duties are a “direct attack” that violates the agreement between the US, Mexico and Canada. In this regard, as the prime minister noted, Canada will consider its answer options.

“We have prepared mechanisms to impose appropriate duties if necessary. There are many reasons for this,” he said.

The Associated Press noted that the Prime Minister noted that before taking action, he should familiarize himself with the details of Trump’s decree.

Carney also stated that he should talk to Trump and expressed his hope that it would soon happen.

Trump earlier announced the introduction import duty in 25% on all carsmade abroad.

“We will impose duties of 25%,” he said in the White House.

According to Trump, “this will lead to our economic growth”, as well as the fact that foreign car manufacturers will open factories in the United States.

He specified that the solution also applies to small trucks.
