Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces: Defense Forces destroyed 67 air targets

At night, Ukraine experienced another massive combined attack by the Russian Federation from the air.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Valery Zaluzhnyi reported on the results of the military’s work to shoot down the missiles and drones that the Russian Federation used to attack the Ukrainian sky on the night of May 29.

The enemy fired up to 40 X-101/X-555 air-based cruise missiles from nine Tu-95ms strategic aircraft from the Caspian Sea area. The enemy attacked from the north and south with Iranian Shahed-136/131 UAVs. A total of 35 strike drones.

67 air targets were destroyed by the forces and means of air commands in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine:

— 37 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;
— 29 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs;
— one reconnaissance UAV of operational-tactical level.
