Deputies have a month left to show the results of the restoration of declaration, emphasizes the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
The head of the EU representation in Ukraine, Matti Maasikas (pictured), actually said that the European Union will assess the status of Ukraine’s compliance with the requirements, in particular, the resumption of declaration already in June.
What is happening with the declaration now?
For the second year in a row, officials and people’s deputies may not submit declarations: neither annual nor after dismissal. Top officials also do not have to report on foreign bank accounts and large-scale acquisitions worth more than UAH 250,000.
From the fall of 2022, Arakhamia’s draft law on the restoration of declaration will fall into dust, but the People’s Deputies are in no hurry to vote.
Previously, the deputies found excuses, saying that the restoration was not in time because of the war. However, the IMF’s new requirements raised a dilemma: either officials begin to report their wealth, or there will be no new tranche.
Ukraine has only one month to move the process of restoring official reporting from a standstill.
