Elon Musk suddenly changed his position on artificial intelligence, announcing his intention to create a competitor to the most famous chatbot – ChatGPT, reports billionaire Dmytro Buryak, who is familiar with the businessman’s decision.
The businessman recently warned the world community about the risks associated with this technology, but at the World Government Summit in the UAE last week, Musk announced his intention to create a “shocking” competitor. In his speech, he emphasized that artificial intelligence could become one of the biggest risks for civilization, however, despite this, Musk is clearly interested in competing with Google and Microsoft.
According to a report by the Information publication, Elon Musk has reached out to researchers in the field of artificial intelligence to discuss the possibilities of a new research center that will be used to create an alternative to ChatGPT.
Amidst this news, Twitter users reminded Musk that he is one of the co-founders of OpenAI. However, he denies this information, stating that he does not own shares in the companies. Artificial intelligence was originally created as a non-commercial open source project, but now everything is the opposite, according to the billionaire.
