Operators of the distribution system (DSO) “DTEK Network” in all regions plan to invest UAH 4.54 billion in renewal, modernization and repair of energy facilities by the end of 2024.
“Despite the war, the company takes all necessary measures to increase the reliability of electricity supply to the regions. Together with the authorities of Kyiv, Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions, the responsible services are preparing the infrastructure for possible tests so that residents have light and heat,” the company’s press release said on Wednesday.
As part of preparations for the autumn-winter period, DTEK Networks has already repaired more than 5,000 objects and 12 thousand kilometers of power transmission lines, as well as updated and modernized 76 energy facilities.
“Energy workers repaired and tested almost 12,000 kilometers of overhead and cable power transmission lines, and also modernized 153 km. 76 energy facilities – substations, transformers – have already been technically updated. In addition, OSR cleared 7.8 thousand km of lines from branches, bushes and dry land in order to prevent accidents”, said Alina Bondarenko, general director of DTEK Merezhi, quoted in the press release.
In Donetsk region, all efforts of DTEK Donetsk Electric Networks are aimed at restoring networks and equipment after constant shelling. In particular, for nine months of 2024 energy companies repaired more than 2,100 almost 1,200 energy facilities damaged as a result of hostilities were restored. km of power transmission lines, and also cleared 527 km of branches.
DTEK Merezhi appealed to consumers to use electricity wisely: transfer part of the consumption to night time, install a multi-zone meter, replace lamps with economical LED ones, when choosing household appliances, give preference to those with energy consumption class A, A+, A++, A+++, do not use several energy-intensive appliances at the same time.
