Fraudsters tried to take possession of the apartment of a deceased Kyivan who had no heirs

Date:

The apartment is located in the center of the capital.

The owner of the apartment on Antonovycha Street in Kyiv was a lonely Kyivan who died without heirs. After the death of the husband, the housing belonging to him should pass to the communal property as a deceased inheritance.

However, as the investigation established, as a result of fraudulent actions on the basis of a non-existent sales contract, the apartment was registered under a natural person and subsequently illegally alienated. The cost of the apartment is over 2 million hryvnias.

The district prosecutor’s office appealed to the court with a statement of claim for the claim of property to communal property. The Holosiiv District Court of the city of Kyiv agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor and satisfied the lawsuit in full.
