The pace of pumping natural gas to underground storage facilities in Ukraine correspond to the preparation schedule for the heating season of 2025-2026, stated Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolesnik on the air of the national telephone.
“It should be noted that the rates of pumping are one and a half times higher than in the same period last year. There is a fairly intense work,” Kolesnik emphasized.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine together with Naftogaz of Ukraine is actively purchasing import gas during the “most acceptable prices”. At the same time, the Ministry of Energy states that they diversify supply routes – in particular through Poland and the Transbalance direction – in order to reduce dependence on individual sources and strengthen the energy stability of the state.
“Gas of its own production remains an important part in the structure of the balance and one of the key elements of energy stability. All the necessary steps are being taken to normalize the situation in the pre-fuel autumn and winter season of 2025-2026,” Mykola Kolesnik added, which was a year. It remains controlled: Ukrainian gas workers carry out repair and restoration work and take all necessary measures to stabilize and reserve capacity.
