Borussia D U-19 midfielder Danylo Krevsun said that he expected to receive an invitation from Shakhtar to play in the youth team.
Without waiting for an invitation from Shakhtar, the son of the famous Ukrainian athlete Yulia Krevsun continued to play football in Germany.
In a Sport.ua comment, Krevsun believes that he would not have made the same progress at Shakhtar as he did at Dortmund.
“At first it was very unfortunate that I was not called to Shakhtar U-19. I didn’t know what to do next, how to be. But already in half a year I got to Borussia D. Now I understand that so far there has been nothing better in my life than it is now. If I had returned to Shakhtar, I would not have achieved the results I have today,” Krevsun explained.
- After the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine, Krevsun and his mother left for Germany. Last fall, Danilo played for Preussen from Munster (U-19), where he was noticed by the scouts of Borussia D.
- In the new season, 18-year-old Krevsun played one match for the youth team of Borussia D, in which he scored a goal against Bayer Leverkusen (3:1).
- Danylo’s contract with Borussia Dortmund runs until June 30, 2024.
