Kyiv police arrested a 22-year-old man for raping a girl.
After drinking alcohol together, the perpetrator sexually assaulted his colleague. Operatives detained the perpetrator, and investigators informed him of the suspicion. The figure faces up to five years in prison.
The next part of the Desnyan police department received a message from the doctors that a woman, born in 1998, had contacted them and said that she had been raped. The victim also had bruises on her legs. The girl reported that the offense against her took place in a building on Sviato-Troitska Street. The operative on duty immediately sent an investigative-operational group and operatives of the sector of solving crimes against life and health of the Desnya police department to the indicated address.
As Zurab Melikidze, head of the Desnyan police department, said, the police documented the crime at the scene and later detained the alleged suspect:
“We found out that a 24-year-old native of Vinnytsia region worked with the detainee at the same enterprise. The workers worked on the first floor of the building and lived on the second floor. During a joint rest, after a working day, the drunken man began to cling to a colleague, dragged her into a warehouse and raped her.”
During the investigation of the crime, operatives identified the man involved in the crime. He turned out to be a native of the Kyiv region, born in 2000, who had no previous convictions and was detained by investigators in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. In the course of primary investigative actions, the police discovered and seized material evidence of the commission of the crime,” said the police colonel.
According to this fact, the investigators of the Desnyan police department have opened criminal proceedings, the detainee has been informed of the suspicion. At the moment, the court is deciding the issue of choosing a person involved in a preventive measure. The man faces up to five years in prison for the crime.
