During the pre-trial investigation, the four suspects will be under 24-hour house arrest with the use of an electronic means of control.
We will remind that the other day on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in the Pechersk district of the capital, law enforcement officers detained four people who broke the shutters and entered the premises, sealed by a commission from the Ministry of Culture. The offenders were two women, born in 1986 and 1984, and two men, born in 1983 and 2001.
Based on this fact, the investigators started a pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism, and in agreement with the district prosecutor’s office, the persons involved were informed of the suspicion. The sanction of the article provides imprisonment for a term of up to five years.
Today, April 21, the Pechersk District Court chose preventive measures for the four suspects in the form of round-the-clock house arrest with the use of electronic means of control.
