Date:

Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a former law enforcement officer who tried to organize the smuggling of psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities was notified of suspicion.

According to the investigation, the suspect, who lives in Kyiv, planned on a permanent basis to move a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance – mephedrone – across the border of Ukraine in the Sumy Oblast, outside of customs control, into the territory of the Russian Federation. The suspect involved a resident of the border region of Sumy Oblast in the smuggling of psychotropic drugs.
