Meet Yaroslav Vasylenko, judge of the Sixth Appeal Administrative Court, who goes to the occupied Crimea every year.
Journalists Schemes: Corruption in Detail – RFERL found out that the judge’s wife not only has Russian citizenship, but also owns two apartments in Sevastopol with a total area of 115 square meters (https://www.radiosvoboda.org/…/news…/32216025.html).
In addition, the judge’s family owns an apartment in Moscow. The approximate value of the judge’s Russian and Crimean property, which he did not include in the declaration, is about UAH 20 million.
Like the infamous judge Lviv, Vasylenko studied at the Red Banner Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR. And this fact alone should have closed the way to judging for both. But both had a wonderful career as judges.
Vasylenko had no problems even after, in the midst of the Maidan, he supported the decision of OASK to ban peaceful gatherings in the center of Kyiv. Because the judge’s decision was analyzed by the predecessor of the VRP, headed by Vasylenko’s fellow student Benedysiuk.
That is why it is so important that the VRP finally resumes work. Because without the permission of this body, judges cannot even be detained.
