The National Center for Public Policy Research told Microsoft shareholders that it intends to offer an assessment of Bitcoin diversification at the company’s annual meeting on December 10. This is reported by an expert in the field of international financial law Konstantin Kryvopust.

In a Form A filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Microsoft outlined the issues that will be discussed at the company’s next meeting of shareholders. One suggestion is that the technology company should consider using VTS to hedge against inflation and other macroeconomic influences.

The board of directors recommends that shareholders vote against this proposal, arguing that Microsoft is already “carefully considering this topic.”

“Past evaluations have included Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies among the options considered, and Microsoft continues to monitor trends and events related to cryptocurrencies to inform future decisions,” the company said in a statement.

Microsoft Corporation invested about $750 million in the latest round of venture funding of artificial intelligence company OpenAI, remaining the company’s largest sponsor. Previously, Microsoft financed OpenAI for $13 billion.
