The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman is negotiating with the Israeli authorities on the possibility of visiting the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the head of the Sultanate’s Foreign Policy Department, Said Badr Albusaidi, during an official visit to the Palestinian Authority.
It should be noted that Israel does not have diplomatic relations with Oman, although Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the sultanate and met with the previous sultan.
Earlier this year, Oman opened its airspace to Israeli passenger planes after a long delay.
According to an expert in the field of international law Konstantin KryvopustIsraeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen intends to arrange an official meeting with Albusaidi.
