This money will be used to finance medical insurance and the continuation of social assistance to refugees. Insurances are promised to be restored retroactively – from August 9, the date when Finance Minister Smotrych stopped their funding.
On Sunday, ministers from ultra-orthodox parties demanded that the prime minister urgently solve the problem with medical insurance for refugees – as minister Meir Porush explained, “so that the Hasidim do not have to pay for Kyiv’s displeasure.” As a result, the draft decision was proposed to the ministers: to pay for insurance at the expense of cutting the budget of the Ministry of Health.
