In just a few months, the opening of the new, jubilee 70th season on the Kyiv Children’s Railway.
Kyiv Children’s Railway has successfully completed the 69th season of train movement and educational and production practice.
The state of war did not interfere – the railway workers found an opportunity to provide young railway workers with a full-fledged educational process:
In 2022, more than a thousand children studied on the capital’s children’s railway;
Everything planned was accomplished, three 3 production practices were held, and a record result was obtained: out of 154 graduates of the Kyiv Children’s Railway, 114 entered railway educational institutions this summer.

By the way, during the winter, young passengers admired the brightly decorated central station of the “Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi Detschisky” station, rode the St. Nicholas train, and also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the incredible atmosphere of New Year’s magic with animators.
Small passengers are transported by three locomotives – the TU7A locomotive, along with Gr-336 – the only operating steam locomotive among the children’s railways of Ukraine, 12 passenger and 2 freight cars are also in operation.
By the way, the first train on the Kyiv Children’s Railway ran on Syrka on August 2, 1953. And in 2018, a large-scale reconstruction of the children’s railway began, and now the length of the route is 6.7 km, there are two stations – “Kyiv – Passenger – Children’s” and “Zaliznychna”.
