Cardiac surgeons from Kyiv traveled more than 300 kilometers to save the life of a small 800-gram baby born in the Rivne maternity hospital.

The operation to close the ductus arteriosus was complex and required high professionalism and attention from doctors. But, thanks to their skills, the baby now has every chance for a fulfilling life.
“The child was not transported to another hospital to receive the necessary medical care. Kyiv doctors arrived at the Rivne maternity hospital with all the necessary equipment to immediately start the operation,” said the mayor.
